Studying in Australia

Students from all over the world have found a warm welcome in the Australian education system. Australian education has an excellent reputation for offering a vast array of world-class courses. Your options in Australia include caring childcare, outstanding public and private primary and secondary schools, practical vocational education and training, English language tuition and comprehensive higher education.

Australian post-secondary education is governed by the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). The ten levels of the AQF fuse the wide range of providers and qualifications into a single Australia-wide network. This lets you plan and streamline your education and assess your current educational standing.

The Federal Government of Australia enforces stringent requirements to ensure consistent education for both domestic and international students. The Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000 and the National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018 protect overseas students’ welfare. All institutions that offer courses to overseas students must be registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) to affirm that the quality of teaching and structure of the course are of a high standard. Institutes such as Monaro Higher Education and universities are regulated by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) which ensures that the administration of higher education providers is ethical and that all characteristics of the course are of the highest quality.
