MHE is registered with the Tuition Protection Service (TPS).
MHE intends to register with the Tuition Protection Service (TPS) upon TEQSA approval. The TPS ensures that, if a course is discontinued, international students or domestic students who pay upfront fees can either complete their courses with another higher education provider or university or receive a refund for any tuition fees for units not taught.
MHE will ensure that we have enough funds available to repay, if necessary, to any overseas student who has paid tuition fees for courses not yet started. MHE will only reduce the funds in its account below this amount to:
- Pay for a place in an alternative higher education provider or university arranged by MHE
- Refund you for a discontinued course
- Pay the director of the Tuition Protection Service in relation to a student in a discontinued course.
If MHE ceases to provide a course for which you have paid in advance, MHE will, within fourteen days of the discontinuation, either
- refund any tuition fees you paid for the course
- offer you an alternative course (which you may either accept or reject) using the payment in advance as credit. If you reject the offer of an alternative course, MHE will refund the tuition fees.
